I am a guitarist based in Columbia, SC, who focuses on improvisation, harmony, and soul.
Currently, I lead a jazz trio performing original music, covers, as well as jazz standards, and will be releasing a duo album entitled “Still” in the fall of 2022 and a trio album in 2023

I have been teaching music for almost as long as I can remember playing it.
My own journey has been a very non-linear path, full of false starts, leaps, failures, successes and pivots along the way. I love working with guitarists, and any musician, with limited background in jazz, musical notation, theory, etc and finding ways to meet them where they are and present these concepts in easily understandable terms.

I am passionate about how performing and teaching can intersect with working for positive change in our community and society as a whole.
I feel a need to put the music I make to use helping those around me when I can.
